Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer, Senior, to define and implement cybersecurity architecture for cloud environments across multiple networks. You will collaborate with our cloud infrastructure delivery team and stakeholders using Agile processes to ensure design, implementation, verification, and continuous monitoring of cloud solutions across domains.

We value experience with RMF/ STIG, A&A, and DevSecOps pipelines, along with automation via scripting and IaC.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience securing computer systems and writing security plans for secure IT architecture and computing hardware/software.
  • 8+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) or IaaS.
  • 4+ years of DoD/IC cybersecurity experience.
  • 2+ years of automating tasks in cloud environments (Bash, PowerShell, Python, AWS CLI, Azure CLI).
  • Experience with RMF/ STIG and A&A processes for IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement cybersecurity architecture for cloud environments across multiple domains.
  • Collaborate with cloud infrastructure delivery teams using Agile methodologies.
  • Automate cyber processes to support Continuous Authorization to Operate (CATO).
  • Evaluate cloud enhancements against RMF controls and STIG requirements.
  • Mentor and supervise team members as needed.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience securing computer systems, performing DoD authorization activities, and writing security plans for secure IT architecture and computing hardware and sof tware
  • 8+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, includingAmazon Web Services ( AWS ) ,Micro sof tAzure, or Infrastructure as a Service
  • 4+ years of experience with Army, DoD, or Intelligence Community ( IC ) cybersecurity or information systems
  • 2+ years of experience automating tasks in cloud environments usingscripting tools such asBash, PowerShell, Python, AWS, and Azure Command Line Interface ( CLI )
  • Experience with cloud-native tools to support automation of CATO objectives and the terminology, processes, and regulations of IT system Assessment and Authorization ( A & A ) for the RMF
  • Experience supporting securityassessmentof sof tware and system releases within a DevSecOps frameworksuch as CI / CD pipelines
  • Experience withcode management tools such as Gitsupporting Infrastructure-as-Code ( IaC )
  • HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with cloud security, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with cloud security
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series IAT Level II Certification within 90 days of hire date

  • Experience planning, implementing, and managing continuous monitoring solutions and working within an Agile-based project management framework
  • Experience with Agile processes and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Linux or Windows system administration
  • Experience in Information System Security Engineer ( ISSE ) or Information System Security Officer ( ISSO ) roles
  • Experience developing Body of Evidence artifacts forA & A of systems under frameworks, including National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST ) Spe cia l Publication ( SP ) 800-Series, DoD RMF, and Intelligence Community Directive ( ICD ) 503
  • Knowledge of terminology and federal regulations related to specification, development, acquisition, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Ability to work independently and as an integrated member of a project team
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
