Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a part-time Information Review & Release Analyst (IRRA) to join our Partner's Production Team in Herndon, VA. The IRRA will review and analyze information to determine releasability, ensuring compliance with customer rules, regulations, and policies, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

The role involves redacting equities, coordinating with SMEs and government review boards, and delivering timely, accurate responses while maintaining narrative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 16+ years of relevant experience.
• TS/SCI clearance transferrable to this program and customer.
• Expert in reviewing, analyzing, and redacting equities within documentation.
• Knowledge of customer rules, regulations, and policies in review/release processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Attention to detail and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze various types of information (documents) such as books, articles, academic papers, screenplays, and speeches.
• Apply critical thinking to identify and redact national security equities in compliance with customer rules, regulations, and policies.
• Perform analytic research and analysis, use customer databases, and upload metadata to manuscript cases in the team's portal/tool.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including SMEs, to gather information and provide recommendations to government review boards.
• Communicate with requesters to meet deadlines and provide timely, accurate responses via phone or email.
• Perform quality control/assurance to deliver high-quality products for customers.

Information Review & Release Analyst - Part Time

• Herndon, VA

We are seeking a part-time (24 hours/week) Information Review & Release Analyst (IRRA) to join our Partner's Production Team. The IRRA will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing information to determine its releasability ensuring compliance with the customer's rules, regulations, and organizational policies. The role requires a high level of analytic and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze various types of information (documents) - i.e. books, articles, academic papers, screenplays, and speeches, etc.
• Apply Critical Thinking Skills - Identify and redact national security equities from various documents in compliance with the customer's rules, regulations, and policies
• Perform Analytic Research and Analysis - Exploit different customer databases and ascertain / upload the appropriate metadata to manuscript cases within the team's portal/tool
• Coordinate w/Stakeholders - Coordinate with various stakeholders, including SMEs to gather and collect information and clarify any issues related to the release of information. This includes providing recommendations (i.e. alternate language to use while simultaneously maintaining the integrity of an author's narrative) to the government review board members for approval.
• Communicate w/Customers - Build rapport and communicate with the requesters to meet reasonable deadlines and provide timely and accurate responses. Respond to phone calls and emails requesting assistance related to mission requirements.
• Perform Quality Control / Assurance Checks - Deliver high-quality products for our customers/requesters via implementing quality control/assurance measures

Requirements

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance that is transferrable to this program and customer
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience.Candidates resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position mentioned above, experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Expert in reviewing, analyzing, and redacting equities within documentation (both in electronic and hardcopy format)
• Demonstrated knowledge of our customer's rules, regulations, and policies in terms of the review and release process
• Demonstrated knowledge of our customer's databases and tools/systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (I.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Demonstrates the ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment

Desired Skills

• Previous experience as an Information Review and Release Analyst on the Program
• Previous experience as an Editor and/or Associate Editor
• Previous CADRE experience
