Job summary

State of Florida's Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking an OPS HELPLINE OPERATOR / OPS INFORMATION SPECIALIST I to handle inquiries, perform data entry, and support public information functions in Gainesville. Strong customer service and call-center experience are essential; a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree is required.

Position reports to the Division of Plant Industry and features standard office hours, on-site work, and benefits including insurance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Valid driver license required.
• Educational verification for foreign degrees may be required.

Responsibilities

• Research division and department programs to assist with inquiries.
• Enter and route customer service tickets; follow up for completion.
• Email customers with relevant information and maintain records.
• Provide information and assistance via inbound/outbound calls.
