Job summary

McCarter & English, LLP seeks an Information Disclosure Statements Paralegal for our Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or a certificate from a professional/business/secretarial school, at least one year of IDS experience, and an interest in supporting a vibrant patent practice.

McCarter & English is seeking an Information Disclosure Statements Paralegal for our Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or a certificate from a professional/business/secretarial school, at least one year of IDS experience, an interest in assisting our legal professionals in a vibrant patent practice in our Boston office, and a desire to work hard and to learn.The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000 annually depending on experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under general supervision, prepares and files Information Disclosure Statements and performs other IDS/Patent Prosecution related tasks and projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ year(s) of IDS experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree

SKILLS:

• Comprehensive knowledge of preparation and filing of information disclosure statements
• Comprehensive working knowledge of most current USPTO rules and procedures
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Must maintain electronic client files
• Knowledge of effective proofreading techniques
• Preparation of Section 18 charts
• Comprehensive knowledge of IPDAS and cpi
• Must work effectively and proactively in a team environment
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
