Information Assurance/Security Engineer Manager
Peraton is seeking an Information Assurance/Security Engineer Manager to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The role involves applying federal laws, DHS & TSA directives, policies, standards, and industry best practices in Incident Response & Cybersecurity, including FISMA, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, & NIST RMF for data security and incident management.
This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Organize, direct, and manage task order support functions for the Information Assurance & Cyber Security Division (IAD).
- Support ICAM, Incident Response, Cybersecurity Support, and Risk Management & Compliance Services.
- Serve as an SME to resolve day-to-day cybersecurity issues.
- Coordinate with divisions, System Owners, ISSO, TSA offices, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on cybersecurity activities.
- Identify improvements in tools, processes, and procedures.
- Manage infrastructure security risks and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Perform vulnerability management, DHS ISVM compliance, and remediation.
- Document and report on vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Provide technical and programmatic IA services supporting network security.
- Develop security documentation following RMF guidelines.
- Support assessment and authorization processes, conduct risk assessments.
- Analyze policies and recommend gap closures.
- Develop and evaluate security tools and configurations.
- Conduct security audits and develop risk mitigation solutions.
- Develop strategies for privacy, risk management, and e-authentication.
- Support security architecture development for evolving requirements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain DHS EOD clearance.
- 10 years of experience.
- Experience managing cybersecurity teams.
- Extensive TSA leadership experience.
- Experience as an IA Manager.
- Experience in government contact center operations.
- 7 years project management experience.
- Ability to identify and communicate risks.
Required Certifications:
- ITIL 4 Certification (by AOR).
- Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree.
- Strong communication and business skills.
