Job summary

Leidos is establishing a new IA Team Lead within its Digital Sector in Washington, DC, driving security for a federal IT modernization program. The role centers on leading IA engineers, shaping security architecture, and ensuring compliance with DoD and government standards.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher certification, and on-site work at a secure facility in Washington, DC as the program progresses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus 12+ years of experience.
• Experience leading cybersecurity or IA teams.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher (Sec+ CE or higher).
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to pass additional customer suitability screenings.
• Willingness to work on-site in Washington, DC.
• Experience with risk assessments, IT audits, and system accreditation.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, virtualization, and DLP.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and scripting.
• Experience with IDS/IPS and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the security of information systems, ensuring they are properly secured and compliant.
• Conducting regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses.
• Ensuring systems comply with security frameworks and conducting audits.
• Coordinating certification and accreditation processes for deployments.
• Monitoring system activity to detect unauthorized access and threats.
• Collaborating with IT, legal, and compliance teams to integrate security into development.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to IA personnel and conduct performance assessments.
• Validate and approve time charging for assigned personnel.
