Rate: $70.00/hour on W2
Work Status: US Citizen, H1B, GC or Authorized to work - Sponsorship not available DHS

Q002 Information Assurance and Security Specialist – Master

Hybrid position - will require on-site reporting to OCIO office
Complete Description:
Duties:
  1. Identify network problems, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal performance;
  2. Monitor and analyze data traffic patterns within the OCFO Network infrastructure;
  3. Enhance security and knowledge of the latest security threats, worms, and malware and advise on how to deter them;
  4. Ensure reliability of the network through the above actions;
  5. Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans;
  6. Experience with Storage infrastructure (NetApp Storage) and technologies including virtualization/arrays, FC/FCOE, NFS, ISCSI;
  7. Design and administer VMware Infrastructure including full integration with SAN for VMotion and VMware SRM multi-site administration;
  8. Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity processes and tools needed;
  9. Active Directory service management and operational stability and maintenance;
  10. Design and build solutions utilizing on-premise computer, networking, and storage technologies using Azure cloud;
  11. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other appliances in compliance with OCFO security standards;
  12. Monitor security measures in place within network perimeter, ensuring security breaches do not occur and information is safeguarded.

Responsibilities:
  1. Determine enterprise information assurance and security standards.
  2. Develop and implement information assurance/security standards and procedures.
  3. Coordinate, develop, and evaluate security programs for an organization. Recommend information assurance/security solutions to support customers' requirements.
  4. Identify, report, and resolve security violations.
  5. Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  6. Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
  7. Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
  8. Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
  9. Analyze and define security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
  10. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements.
  11. Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
  12. Analyze general information assurance-related technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
  13. Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  14. Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure.

Qualifications:
  1. 16+ years of experience developing, maintaining and recommending enhancements to IS policies/requirements (Required).
  2. 16+ years of experience performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems/apps (Required).
  3. 16+ years of experience identifying, reporting and resolving security violations (Required).
  4. Cloud-Azure (Highly Desired).
  5. Experience in complex Enterprise-level projects (Required).
  6. Expert understanding of Windows server operating systems (Required).
  7. Knowledge of on-premise and cloud security productions (Required).
  8. Good understanding of IP Networks/Security (Required).
  9. Extensive experience troubleshooting NetApp SAN (Required).
  10. In-depth knowledge of SAN replication/Disaster Recovery (Highly Desired).
  11. Hands-on experience managing storage on VMware ESXi (Required).
  12. Good understanding of server/endpoint operating systems (Required).
  13. Windows 2016 AD Enterprise troubleshooting experience (Required).
  14. In-depth experience with Disaster Recovery & Avoidance planning (Required).
  15. VMware Site Recovery Manager experience (Highly Desired).
  16. Excellent understanding of troubleshooting IT infrastructure (Highly Desired).

Education:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (Required).
  2. Master's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (Highly Desired).
  3. Security CISSP, Security+, CEH (Required).
