Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking an Information Architect to map information structures, navigation flows, and user interactions for web sites and applications. You will study user needs, plan information architecture, and collaborate with business, technology, editorial, and brand teams to deliver optimized experiences.

The role emphasizes prototyping, data modeling, and usability validation, with responsibilities spanning analysis, planning, and documentation across merchandising and content

Job description

Summary: Provides positive user experience by determining information structure for Web sites and Web applications.

Project Details:

Identify user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; study how users consume content, including data categorization and labeling; meeting with focus groups. Plan information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envision architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design; creating user scenarios; preparing data models; design information structure, work-and data flow, and navigation; evaluate information representation; conducting creative meetings. Organize information by translating user behavior into media structure and elements; craft interactive experiences; produce workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards; prepare interaction specifications, navigation rules, organization of information, and site maps; coordinate with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive, and brand strategists. Implement information architecture by preparing paper and interactive prototypes and mock-ups including page layout and navigational elements; coordinate with Web Producer and Production Developer to integrate site concept, visual design, writing, interface, and navigational structure; documenting structure and processes. Validate information delivery by developing and completing usability test plans; evaluate traffic patterns; studying user feedback; coordinate with Usability Specialists. Update job knowledge by tracking research regarding web design and usability; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Hourly Rate: 72-94
