Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable ICT pathway, space, and cabling designs with drawings and design docs.
• Coordinate ICT designs with MEP, CSA, construction, and operations teams.
• Review and approve ICT submittals including telecom spaces, pathways, cabling, and layouts.
• Support construction administration by reviewing RFIs, field surveys, and submittals.
• Identify project risks and collaborate to deliver solutions for mission-critical data centers.

Our client, in the cloud infrastructure and data center industry, is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join their team. As an ICT Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering and Design team supporting Data Center Infrastructure, Construction, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent cross-functional communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Seattle, WA

Pay Range: $73/hr. - $78/hr.

Top Must-Have Skills

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Data Center design and construction experience.
• Network infrastructure design experience, including structured cabling and fiber optic systems.
• Heavy engineering and design experience in mission-critical environments.

What’s the Job?

• Develop scalable inside-plant and outside-plant ICT pathway, space, and cabling designs, including construction drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Coordinate ICT infrastructure designs with MEP, CSA, construction, and operations teams to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
• Review and approve ICT-related submittals, including telecom spaces, pathways, cabling systems, and equipment layouts.
• Support construction administration activities by reviewing RFIs, conducting field surveys, approving submittals, and generating site reports.
• Identify project risks, resolve design challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions for mission-critical data center environments.

What’s Needed?

• 5+ years of ICT design experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, power generation facilities, or industrial facilities.
• 5+ years of experience developing construction drawings, specifications, permitting packages, and engineering documentation.
• Strong experience with network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, interconnect technologies, and industry standards.
• BICSI RCDD Certification or equivalent industry-recognized certification (CDCDP, DCDC, etc.).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
