Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Informatics Manager to design, develop, and maintain data solutions on Google Cloud Platform supporting HEDIS data workflows. You will lead analytics development, create robust data documentation, and collaborate with data engineering to ensure high-quality clinical data for downstream stakeholders.

You’ll drive data migration and testing, advance data ingestion and reporting capabilities, and contribute to the organization’s digital transformation in healthcare

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of relevant experience in clinical informatics, healthcare analytics, or clinical data management.
• 5+ Years experience coding in SQL and Python and experience working with large-scale healthcare datasets.
• Familiar with clinical data types and structures, including CCD data, lab results, clinical notes, and administrative healthcare data.
• Ability to support downstream data consumers through documentation, training, and consultative support.
• Familiar using cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools including BigQuery.
• Understanding of data quality principles, including validation, profiling, and monitoring of healthcare data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex clinical data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert in clinical data and its use for solving healthcare problems.
• Develop analytics by building validated data assets (tables, views, features) for analysts and data scientists.
• Create and maintain data documentation (data dictionaries, lineage, business logic).
• Build queries, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate data quality metrics and insights.
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure proper ingestion, transformation, and storage of data.
• Develop data migration systems coordinating with data management teams for accuracy.
• Support the HEDIS Digital Transformation strategy through improved ingestion, processing, and reporting.
