Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Software Engineer focused on ETL and Informatica work. You will participate in the Software Development Life Cycle, validate and test software, and communicate project status to clients and teams.

Level I-IV responsibilities include coding, on-call support, documentation, and continuous development in enterprise technologies within the Health Plan service region. A degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer science, information technology or related field; 3 years of experience if no degree.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, SQL, C++, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Informatica, CI/CD, Pega, Power BI or Cognos.
• Basic knowledge of Unix-based or Windows operating systems.
• Basic database experience and software testing understanding.
• Ability to communicate with team and understand user stories.

Responsibilities

• Develops code and analyzes system issues; participates in production support rotation.
• Supports IT processes, documentation, design and code reviews.
• Communicates project statuses and proposals with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Delivers ETL and Informatica-focused work with adherence to SDLC.
• Mentors others and advances understanding of enterprise technologies.
