Job summary

Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Informatica ETL/Data Engineer in Austin with 8+ years of experience to design, develop, and support enterprise data integration solutions.

The role emphasizes Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake, and Oracle SQL/PLSQL, with strong SDLC collaboration and production support. You will work with a high-impact technical services team, focusing on data ingestion from diverse sources, performance tuning, and batch scheduling in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions.
• Hands-on with Informatica PowerCenter, mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
• Experience ingesting data from multiple heterogeneous sources into Oracle databases.
• Strong Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and performance tuning for ETL queries.
• Snowflake data loading, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration for cloud-based ETL/ELT development.
• Gathering data requirements, performing source-to-target mapping, and documenting data flow/design specifications.
• Troubleshooting data quality issues, job failures, and production ETL bottlenecks.
• Experience with batch data loads using scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, Informatica scheduler).
• Preferred: SAP BO Universe design/maintenance
• Experience in state government or large enterprise IT environments (SDLC/change management).

Responsibilities

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Informatica ETL/Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion from diverse source systems, and production support.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Informatica Power center, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling in large enterprise environments.

Strong analytical and communication skills with experience working in structured SDLC environments, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data engineering solutions.
