Summary
The Inflight Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Inflight Safety Team remains compliant with company safety programs, policies, processes, and regulations within Allegiant’s Safety Department.

Minimum Requirements:
- Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Certification: Yes (must pass Allegiant's Flight Attendant training and maintain currency)
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years in aviation, aviation safety, aviation management, or equivalent; advanced education may substitute for experience.
- Knowledge of FAA guidance, SMS systems, reporting, training, and monitoring.
- Understanding of airline operations.
- Ability to establish safety data reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure; strong organizational skills.
- Team player with focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Quality Assurance applications.
- Experience in computer-based training development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or experience in aviation safety or related areas.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement SMS policies in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Assist with safety debriefs and investigations, including documentation and reporting.
- Prepare safety reports, presentations, and statistical data.
- Train employees on safety policies and conduct safety presentations for new hires.
- Process safety reports and report FAA reportable events promptly.
- Coordinate Safety Risk Management activities and participate in corrective action planning.
- Support safety promotion initiatives and analyze safety data for trends and improvements.
- Monitor safety recommendations, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Participate in safety investigations and process improvements.
- Attend safety meetings, facilitate safety initiatives, and represent the team in safety committees.
- Maintain safety event reporting systems and assist with safety programs.
- Support continuous improvement and documentation of safety processes.
- Act as a representative in emergency response as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment; ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, kneel, and operate computer equipment.
- May lift up to 20 lbs.
- Work various shifts and travel as needed.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 annually
