Job summary

Emory University School of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases is accepting applications for faculty physicians to contribute to clinical, research, and teaching missions. The primary responsibility is attending coverage across Emory University Hospital, Midtown, Grady, and VA facilities, with supervision of residents, medical students, and ID fellows.

Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, obtain Georgia medical licensure and DEA, and

Qualifications

• Completion of Internal Medicine residency training in an ACGME-accredited program.
• Completion of at least two years of Infectious Diseases fellowship training by the date of hire.
• Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Attend physician coverage of inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services at Emory facilities.
• Supervise and evaluate residents, medical students and Infectious Diseases fellows.
• Support development of independent research in infectious diseases.

Job description

The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine, is accepting applications for faculty physicians who will contribute to the clinical, research, and teaching missions of the Division. The primary responsibility of the candidate will be attending physician coverage of the inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital-Midtown, Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and/or the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Supervision, evaluation and formal teaching of residents, medical students and active Infectious Diseases fellows will also be required. Candidates with an interest in developing active independent research programs in the area of infectious diseases are encouraged. Salary commensurate with experience and education.

Requirements: Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the date of hire. Candidates must obtain medical licensure for the State of Georgia and DEA certificates at the date of hire. Candidates must provide three letters of reference.

Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of three years of Internal Medicine residency training in an ACGME-accredited program. Satisfactory completion of at least two years of Infectious Diseases fellowship training at the date of hire.
