Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist in West Hills, CA to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care with emphasis on infectious disease pharmacotherapy.

You will initiate antimicrobial utilization programs, participate in patient care decisions, and educate clinical staff, while supporting departmental goals and policies. The role combines centralized and decentralized pharmacy responsibilities in a premier health system.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital inpatient experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency.
• PGY2 residency in Infectious Disease strongly preferred.
• Antimicrobial stewardship experience highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop, and implement antimicrobial utilization management programs.
• Participate in patient care decisions regarding drug therapy for infectious diseases.
• Educate physicians, nurses, and pharmacists on antimicrobial use and stewardship.
• Collaborate on department and interdisciplinary committees; enforce antimicrobial policies.
