Job summary

Nationwide Children\'s Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a night shift, every other weekend and every third holiday. The role focuses on moving patients through their episode of care safely, with quality and safety as top priorities.

Responsibilities include providing family-centered nursing, coordinating with LPNs, PCAs, and allied staff, applying evidence-based practices, and maintaining thorough documentation while upholding the ANA Code of Ethics. Ohio RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• BSN or RN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS or other required certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assess patient needs and communicate care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and allied health staff.
• Plan, implement, educate and evaluate care using evidence-based practices.
• Utilize therapeutic communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Engage in workplace community by monitoring changes, participating in data collection or audits, attending meetings, and reporting updates.
• Document according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
