RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Infectious Disease physician to join Newark Beth Israel in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on outpatient care with inpatient services at Newark Beth Israel, in a teaching hospital setting with Rutgers faculty appointments.

The position offers a 1.0 clinical effort, involvement in research and teaching, and opportunities to expand the ID clinic to serve an underserved urban population. Weekend on-call is approximately every 4–5 weekends.

Qualifications

• Board certified (or board eligible) in Infectious Disease.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• Both experienced candidates and new fellows are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Ryan White and transplant diseases (NJ transplant center).
• Be part of a teaching hospital partnered with RWJBH and Rutgers.
• Contribute to expansion of the outpatient infectious disease clinic.
• 1.0 clinical effort with opportunities for research and teaching.
• Engage in performance improvement for the department.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to serve an underserved urban population.
