RWJ Barnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a full-time Infectious Disease physician to join an established private practice embedded within a 500+ bed teaching hospital. The role focuses on inpatient ID with a selective outpatient schedule and flexible hours.

Ideal candidates are board-certified/eligible, passionate about teaching, and eager to mentor the next generation of physicians. Visa sponsorship is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at a 500+ bed teaching hospital with a wide range of complex infections.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists for accurate diagnosis and management.
• Interpret and recommend appropriate use of microbiological, serological, and molecular diagnostics.
• Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives with pharmacy and hospital administration.
• Participate in infection prevention and control activities within the hospital.
• Manage HIV/AIDS and other complex immunocompromised patients in the inpatient setting.
• Conduct weekly outpatient clinic session for follow-up and infectious disease conditions.
