RWJ Barnabas Health is recruiting an Infectious Disease physician for an in-patient focused role with selective outpatient time in Central New Jersey. The practice is affiliated with Community Medical Center, Toms River, a 500+ bed teaching hospital. Flexible scheduling lets you choose hours.

Responsabilidades

• Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at a 500+ bed teaching hospital.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists and specialists to guide care.
• Interpret and recommend diagnostic studies (microbiology/serology/molecular).
• Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives with pharmacy and leadership.
• Participate in infection prevention and control activities.
• Manage HIV/AIDS and other complex immunocompromised patients inpatient.

About the Opportunity

RWJ Barnabas Health has an immediate opportunity for a full time 100% Infectious disease position with a well-established private practice in Central New Jersey. Affiliated primarily with Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ, the position is in-patient focused with a selective out-patient schedule (No nursing homes). The practice offers an extremely flexible schedule, allowing this person to choose their own hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical (Inpatient - Primary Focus)

• Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at the affiliated 500+ bed teaching hospital for a wide range of complex infectious diseases.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists to guide diagnosis and management of infectious disease cases
• Interpret and recommend appropriate use of microbiological, serological, and molecular diagnostic studies
• Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives in collaboration with pharmacy and hospital administration
• Participate in infection prevention and control activities within the hospital
• Manage HIV/AIDS and other complex immunocompromised patients in the inpatient setting

Clinical (Outpatient - Limited)

• Conduct weekly outpatient clinic session for follow-up and infectious disease conditions

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position if hired to work is $150,000 - $170,000 per year. The total compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
