Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician with an interest in musculoskeletal infections to join our established team of bone and joint ID providers.

This academic flagship facility offers opportunities to provide both specialized musculoskeletal/bone and joint care and a broad range of general ID consultations, with research opportunities and a competitive compensation package including a sign-on bonus and

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of accredited ACGME training program and Infectious Disease Fellowship.
• BC/BE Infectious Disease physician.
• Focus on bone and joint/musculoskeletal infections.
• Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized musculoskeletal/bone and joint infectious disease care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Inpatient bone and joint consultations with ambulatory follow-up and new consultations.
• Outpatients evaluated collaboratively with the surgeons at the Bone & Joint Center.
• Occasional back-up coverage of other Infectious Disease services.
• Engage in research opportunities and scholarly activities.
• Faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications.
