Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Infectious Disease Physician to join Piedmont Macon Medical, a nationally recognized organization committed to high-quality, compassionate care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building a clinical practice and maintaining professional excellence within the Piedmont network.

Responsibilities & Highlights

• Board Certified MD/DO
• Perform daily inpatient rounding for Infectious Disease consults
• Manage outpatient follow-up for inpatients and new outpatient consults
• Supervise one or two residents during consults and clinic visits
• Serve as Medical Director for antibiotic stewardship
• Collaborate with infection prevention team to reduce hospital-acquired infections
• Participate in outpatient clinics with the Community Health Care System (CHCS)
• Supervise and educate inpatient wound care nurses
