Job summary

Trinity Health Oakland in Pontiac, MI seeks an infectious disease physician for a full-time role joining an established ID team in a hospital-employed group.

The selected candidate will provide inpatient consultations with an ambulatory component, participate in teaching Internal Medicine residents and medical students, and collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, and surgical services, utilizing Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease; certification must be achieved within the timeframe defined by the applicable specialty board
• Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
• DEA license

Responsibilities

• Providing direct inpatient infectious disease consultation across medical and surgical services
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, nursing, and surgical specialties
• Teaching and mentoring Internal Medicine residents and medical students
• Documenting in Epic EMR
• Engaging in quality improvement and patient safety efforts
• Contributing to the growth of a hospital-employed ID program
