Mitchell Martin Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Infectious Disease in the Bronx, NY. This onsite role offers a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm) or part-time with pro-rated salary, focusing on comprehensive infectious disease care within a not-for-profit FQHC setting.

The ideal candidate has direct ID experience, NY NP licensure, and strong clinical judgment. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to serve underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Current New York State NP license and national board certification.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• FNP, ANP, or comparable NP certification.
• Direct clinical Infectious Disease experience.
• Experience managing infectious conditions and complex cases.
• Proficiency with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with infectious diseases and related conditions.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic results.
• Prescribe and manage medications, including antimicrobial therapy.
• Monitor response to treatment and modify plans as needed.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and management of infectious conditions.
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment, prevention and adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
