Job summary

Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system delivering care across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We seek a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers, manage patient flow, and assist with injections, specimens, and exams.

You will work 8-hour day shifts, no weekends, in Infectious Disease; benefit-eligible with a $2,000 starting bonus for external talent. Join a mission-driven team focused on safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education/experience meeting required competencies.
• Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training completed; clinical training similar to job duties.
• Candidates with fewer than 6 months of Medical Assistant experience must have completed ≥160 hours of clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow; collects patient information and vitals.
• Assists with specimen collection, labeling, and processing; coordinates lab/imaging results.
• Performs injections and assists with procedures; communicates treatment plans to patients.
• Coordinates test results with provider or RN; may prep prescription refill information.
• May assist with front desk duties and patient registration as needed.
• Maintains safety, cleans and inventories exam/medication rooms; follows policies.
