Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an infection control professional to oversee surveillance and ensure adherence to CDC guidelines. You will educate staff, monitor on-site practices, and review medical records for infection control concerns.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or a Master’s with epidemiology/infectious disease focus; BLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree of Science required.
• 3 years of experience with Bachelor's in Medical Technology or 2 years with Master's in epidemiology or infectious disease.
• RN license in Texas or eligibility for reciprocity.
• BLS certification through AHA/ARC is required.

Responsibilities

• Infection control surveillance for the University Hospitals.
• Ensure compliance with CDC guidelines through education of staff and on-site monitoring.
• Review medical records and consult with staff and physicians regarding infection control concerns.
• Data entry and review.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
