Job summary

Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) to lead staff education, orientation, and competency programs while driving infection prevention and compliance across the facility.

The role requires an active MA RN or LPN license and at least 5 years of nursing experience, with preference for SDC/IP experience in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN or LPN nursing license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
• Staff Development Coordinator and Infection Prevention/Control experience preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff education, orientation, competency development.
• Coordinate education programs and maintain annual training plan and materials.
• Develop and update infection prevention policies and surveillance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain training records, attendance logs, and education materials.
• Assist with education budget and collaboration with facility leadership.
• Support Nurse Aide Training curriculum development and state submissions.
