Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking an Infection Preventionist to provide primary skin care and infection prevention oversight under medical direction. The role includes rounds, data collection, staff training, outbreak investigations, and reporting to the DON or Medical Director.

You will monitor infection practices, ensure supplies, and support residents' dermatologic care. The ideal candidate holds LPN or RN licensure, CPR and wound certification, with at least two years of LPN/RN experience.

Qualifications

• LPN/RN licensure in good standing.
• Wound Certification preferred but not required.
• CPR certification required for all applicants.
• Minimum two years of experience as an LPN/RN.

Responsibilities

• Confer with Director of Nursing regarding residents' dermatologic conditions.
• Examine residents and records to decide referrals to physicians.
• Provide assessment and diagnostic services using observation, inspection, and palpation.
• Initiate consultations or referrals as needed, respond to requests from residents or staff.
• Identify, manage and treat skin disorders and related lesions.
• Assist in rehabilitation activities and monitor PT outcomes.
• Provide preventative care and make nutrition recommendations.
• Prepare written and oral reports to physicians or Medical Director.
