Job Opportunity: Infection Preventionist, RN

Pottstown Nursing & Rehab is seeking a qualified Infection Preventionist, RN, in Pottstown, PA. This position is a vital part of our commitment to high-quality care and patient safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Nursing Center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP).
  2. Serve as a practitioner, resource, educator, and facilitator for staff across multiple locations.
  3. Focus on infection prevention activities, outcome and process surveillance, outbreak management, and employee health.
  4. Support new hire orientation with infection prevention training.
  5. Create and implement educational programs based on infection control needs identified through various quality assurance processes.
  6. Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the IPCP to ensure quality patient care related to infection prevention.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
  • Completion of specialized infection prevention and control training within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time nursing experience.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts to meet staff needs.
