Job summary

Community Medical Centers in Fresno/Clovis CA is seeking a Licensed Infection Preventionist to lead surveillance, prevention, and reporting of infectious diseases across the hospital. The role collaborates with the Infection Prevention team to implement policies and education.

Requirements include a CA RN or RPH license, APIC basic course or equivalent within two years, and at least 3 years in infection prevention or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Pharmacy required; associates acceptable for grandfathered hires.
• Master's degree preferred; APIC infection control course or equivalent within 2 years.
• 3+ years in infection prevention, healthcare education, epidemiology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead prevention, investigation, monitoring and reporting of infectious diseases in the hospital.
• Conduct surveillance and advise on policies, procedures, and program improvements.
• Provide infection prevention education and epidemiological investigations.
• Serve as infection prevention consultant to the CMC community; coordinate with leadership on control measures.
