Prestige Care Center of Fairfield is seeking an Infection Prevention and Nursing Scheduler to join our nurse management team in Fairfield, IA. Working closely with the DON, you will lead infection prevention practices and manage the nursing schedule to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will oversee the infection control program, educate staff, monitor antibiotic stewardship, and participate in quality assurance committees.

Competenze

• Nursing degree or graduate of an approved LPN/RN program.
• Three years of experience as an LPN/RN.
• Eligible to participate in federally funded health care programs.
• Must meet Iowa license requirements and have no disciplinary action.
• Education or certification in infection control and prevention.
• Specialized infection prevention training completed.

Mansioni

• Maintain employee schedules for the facility per guidelines, ensuring patient care and staffing needs are met.
• Coordinate, report, and post hourly staff schedules; handle call-ins and coverage; maintain attendance records.
• Develop and implement ongoing infection prevention and control programs to prevent infections.
• Establish facility-wide systems for infection prevention and control of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Create and update policies for infection prevention in line with current standards.
• Oversee antibiotic stewardship program.
• Supervise activities increasing infection risk (catheters, wound care, incontinence care, skin care, point-of-care testing, injections).
• Lead Infection and Prevention Control Committee and participate in QAA Committee.
• Conduct annual infection control risk assessments and facility assessments.
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention principles.
• Notify public health of reportable diseases and collaborate on occupational health tasks.
• Maintain documentation of infection prevention program activities.
• Possess or pursue Infection Preventionist Certification; RN/LPN license in Iowa; proficient with computers.
