Job summary

The Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles, CA is hiring an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) to join our team. The role develops, directs, and monitors the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensures regulatory compliance.

Must hold an unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state, with knowledge of nursing practices and regulations for long-term care. Nice to have infection control experience, SNF exposure, and familiarity with PointClickCare.

Qualifications

Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Responsibilities

Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance.
Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures and analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
Prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission.
Meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
