Job summary

Windsor Elk Grove Care and Rehabilitation Center in Elk Grove, CA is seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) to lead the facility’s infection prevention program and ensure compliance. You will perform rounds, review sanitation procedures, and analyze infection data to guide corrective actions.

Must hold an unencumbered LVN/LPN license in California and be knowledgeable of nursing practices, laws, and long-term care guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have an unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state of California.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program.
• Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures.
• Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
• Prepare summaries of resident/staff infections, corrective actions, and results.
• Explain precautions and ensure proper hand-hygiene techniques are followed with staff, residents, and families.
