Complete Care at Bayshore is seeking an Infection Preventionist-LPN to join our team. The ideal candidate holds an Associates Degree in Nursing and a New Jersey LPN license, plus Infection Preventionist Certification.

Experience in long-term care is required, with at least one year as an Infection Preventionist. The role emphasizes patient care based on scientific principles, timely intervention during changes in condition, and education for patients and families on wound care.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as an LPN in New Jersey.
• Certification in Infection Prevention is required.
• Minimum 1 year of long-term care and skilled nursing experience as an Infection Preventionist.
• Ability to educate patients and families on wound care processes and issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Prioritize nursing actions by patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on wound care processes and issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Nursing leadership.
• Carry weekend shift responsibilities (one weekend per month).

Infection Preventionist-LPN Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must have Infection Preventionist Certification
• At least 1 year long-term care and skilled nursing experience as an Infection Preventionist
• Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.
