Job summary

Complete Care at Bayshore is hiring an Infection Preventionist-LPN in New Jersey. The role focuses on patient care guided by evidence-based nursing practice, with emphasis on infection prevention within a long-term care setting.

Qualified candidates hold an Associates Degree in Nursing, an active NJ LPN license, and Infection Preventionist Certification, with at least 1 year of LTC experience. Weekend coverage is required once per month.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered New Jersey LPN license required.
• Infection Preventionist Certification required.
• At least 1 year LTC/skilled nursing experience as an Infection Preventionist.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Prioritize nursing actions based on patient needs and acuity.
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
• Educate patients and families on wound care processes.

Infection Preventionist-LPN Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must have Infection Preventionist Certification
• At least 1 year long-term care and skilled nursing experience as an Infection Preventionist
• Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.

• REQUIRES ONE WEEKEND PER MONTH
