Your Role

As the Infection Preventionistyou will combine infection control expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Infection Control Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control programs, ensuring compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations.
• Outbreak Management: Monitor, investigate, and manage infection outbreaks in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Staff Education: Train and educate staff on infection prevention protocols, hand hygiene, PPE usage, and best practices.
• Surveillance and Data Analysis: Conduct routine infection surveillance and trend analysis to identify and mitigate risks.
• Nursing Leadership: Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in supervising nursing staff, managing schedules, and maintaining high-quality resident care as needed.
• Care Coordination: Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and resident care conferences.
• Policy Compliance: Conduct audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance with infection prevention standards.

What You’ll Bring

• RN License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required).
• Certification: Pre-certified in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) (required).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related healthcare environment (required).
• Infection Prevention Expertise: Proven experience in infection control programs and outbreak management.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, and infection prevention regulations in skilled nursing facilities.
• Leadership Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and team management skills.
