Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Nurse Epidemiologist to monitor and improve infection control practices. The role requires nursing licensure, potential certification in infection control, and 2+ years in infection control in an acute care setting.

The incumbent will participate in patient care activities, evaluate care quality, and ensure appropriate growth and development considerations are applied to patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school is required.
• Certification in Infection Control preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years prior Infection Control experience in an acute care facility is necessary.

• Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served, as defined in the scope of service for the Nurse Epidemiologist s area of practice.
• Evaluates and monitors quality of patient care related to Infection Control.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
• Initiates and participates in related patient care activities.
• Evaluates and monitors quality of patient care related to Infection Control.
