Job summary

Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center in Roswell, NM is seeking an Infection Preventionist / Wound Care Nurse to combine hands-on resident care with program oversight of the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NM RN or LPN license.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred.
• Strong wound care experience required; IPC certification preferred.
• Infection prevention experience or willingness to obtain IPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Wound rounds, assessments, treatments, and care planning.
• Lead infection prevention and QAPI initiatives per CDC/CMS rules.
• Conduct NHSN reporting and regulatory timelines.
• Perform audits and staff education on infection control and wound care.
• Ensure accurate documentation in medical records.
