Job summary
Mercy is seeking an Infection Prevention Specialist in Joplin, MO to lead and support the hospital's infection prevention plan. You will work with leadership, staff and clinicians to implement evidence-based strategies and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications
- 3+ years clinical healthcare related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and oral communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation, review and support of the facility infection prevention plan.
- Collaborate with leadership, coworkers and medical staff to develop, implement, improve, monitor, and champion infection control processes.
- Perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values and service standards.
- Willingness to travel throughout the hospital on a high frequency basis.
