Job summary

Mountain View Post Acute is seeking an Infection Control & Staff Development Coordinator (LPN/RN) in Washington. The role leads infection prevention, coordinates training, and ensures regulatory compliance, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

You will monitor CDC/OSHA guidelines, manage TB and bloodborne pathogen programs, and support environmental safety across departments. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• WA LPN/RN license active and unencumbered.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• 2+ years nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique.
• APIC infection control certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the facility's infection prevention and control program.
• Monitor compliance with CDC, OSHA, state, and facility requirements.
• Conduct rounds on hand hygiene, aseptic technique, standard/universal precautions, and isolation practices.
• Track, investigate, document, and report resident and employee infections and communicable diseases.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on infection trends, corrective actions, and prevention strategies.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain orientation and training programs for staff on infection prevention and OSHA guidelines.
