Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field required.
• CIC certification or plan to obtain within 2 years required.
• Florida RN license or Florida Medical Technologist license; or MPH with CIC.
• Minimum of two years healthcare experience, preferably infection prevention and control.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff on policies and practices related to infection prevention and control.
• Perform specialized surveillance, infection investigation, and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure infection control processes and policies are implemented across the health system.
• Serve as a resource for staff, administrators, physicians and surgeons on IPC issues.
• Represent the Infection Prevention & Control department at hospital committee meetings and prepare reports.
