Job summary

MediLodge of Portage seeks an Infection Control – Infection Preventionist (RN) to coordinate the Infection Prevention program and provide total nursing care for residents while guiding clinical staff in infection prevention and control practices.

The role requires a nursing graduate with an active license, CPR certification, and prior infection control experience. You will contribute to resident safety and regulatory compliance within MediLodge’s Portage facility.

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience preferred with training in Infection Control.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report infection data and trends to staff and providers.
• Consult on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies.
• Educate and train staff; implement evidence-based infection control practices.
• Monitor surveillance systems and ensure accurate, timely reports.
• Share surveillance results with nursing leadership and medical director.
