Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing diploma.
• Must hold an active RN license in the applicable state and maintain good standing.
• CPR certification required at hire and to remain current.
• Specialized IPC training prior to role; re-evaluate with scope changes.

Responsibilities

• Conducts infection control surveillance across the organization.
• Identifies, investigates, and records HAI/CAI data and epidemiologically significant organisms.
• Initiates control measures as authorized by committees.
• Presents infection data and recommendations; educates staff, residents, and families.
