Job summary

Kensington-Health-and-Reha is seeking a Quality Assurance / Infection Prevention Nurse (RN) to lead QAPI activities and manage the facility's infection prevention program in a long-term care setting.

In this role, you will collaborate with Nursing leadership, Medical Director, and consultant pharmacists to promote resident safety, monitor CMS measures, and drive measurable quality outcomes. Alabama RN licensure and infection prevention training are required or in plan.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama is required.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in long-term care/SNF.
• Completion of specialized infection prevention and control training per 42 CFR 483.80(b) or willingness to complete after hire.

Responsibilities

• Support the facility's QAPI program with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Lead the infection prevention and control program as designated Infection Preventionist.
• Develop and review infection prevention policies, training, and competency assessments.
