Job summary

Crowne Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead Quality Assurance and Infection Control within our geriatric long-term care facility. You will monitor infections, drive antibiotic stewardship, and support overall quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Several years of nursing experience preferred
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
• Infection prevention/control experience preferred
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate records
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and document facility infections and antibiotic usage
• Assist with and promote appropriate antibiotic stewardship
• Support infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility
• Monitor trends and assist with identifying opportunities for infection prevention and quality improvement
• Serve as a resource and liaison for residents and staff regarding infection prevention and related clinical needs
• Participate as an active member of the facility’s Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) team
• Assist with maintaining required infection control documentation and regulatory compliance
• Educate and support staff regarding infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices
• Maintain the residents’ best interests and quality of care as the highest priority
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling and hours based on facility needs
