Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management in Boynton Beach, FL, seeks an experienced RN Infection Prevention Control Officer to lead the infection prevention program across long-term and sub-acute care settings.

You will identify and control infections, coordinate testing, educate staff on CDC updates, and ensure adherence to applicable standards; Florida RN licensure is required, with at least 1 year of nursing experience and IPC training completed within 5 days of employment.

Qualifications

• ASN is required.
• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1+ years nursing experience; LTC/Sub-Acute care preferred.
• Experience in Infection Prevention and Control with knowledge of patient care practices.
• Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and sub-acute care nursing center.
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of infections among residents, staff, and guests; manage CDC/PD testing schedules and educate staff on updates.
• Serve as the center's knowledge source on CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, and relevant regulations.
