Job summary

Accolade Healthcare seeks an Infection Preventionist to reduce infectious disease incidence among residents, staff, visitors, and community. You will work with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director to plan, educate, and implement infection prevention goals across the facility.

The role requires coordinating with local and national health agencies, leading hygiene programs, and participating in quality improvement processes. A nursing license and IPC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current nursing license and IPC certification.
• Two years of LTC experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention goals with leadership and infection teams.
• Collaborate with physicians and agencies on prevention activities.
• Oversee infection prevention programs and surveillance.
• Report facility infections and manage antibiotic stewardship.
• Provide staff education on infection prevention and control.
