Job summary

Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse to lead infection prevention and control efforts with a focus on resident and staff safety. The role is full-time and requires RN/LPN licensure with specialized training in infection prevention.

Salary ranges from 75K to 105K annually, based on experience, and includes benefits. You will collaborate with facility leadership to monitor infections, conduct surveillance, and educate staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Valid BLS CPR certification.
• Associate degree in Nursing or related fields is required.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control is required.
• CIC certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, monitor, and report trends in healthcare-associated infections.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to implement infection prevention practices.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with infection prevention policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and evaluate infection control initiatives to improve safety.
• Provide staff education and training on infection prevention practices.
• Participate in the QAA committee for continuous improvement.
• Conduct surveillance, audits, and assessments of infection control effectiveness.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on infection prevention guidance.
