Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse to develop, implement, and monitor the hospital's infection prevention program in accordance with CMS Conditions of Participation for Critical Access Hospitals and NHSN guidelines.

The role requires an RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, and 2–3 years of acute care experience. Strong communication, organizational skills, and Epic experience are essential for success in a cross-departmental quality and safety team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BSN strongly preferred; ADN required.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care/critical access setting.
• Strong infection prevention knowledge, epidemiology basics and CMS/NHSN regulatory familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present data to committees and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital infection prevention and control program.
• Coordinate quality support activities across departments to drive performance improvement.
• Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance with CMS/Joint Commission guidelines.
• Collaborate with teams to monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
