Qualifications

• RN or LPN licensure in Michigan is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor healthcare-associated infections.
• Assess infection prevention problems and make corrective recommendations.
• Initiate, review, and revise infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Conduct outbreak investigations and report communicable diseases as required.
• Provide educational offerings for orientation and ongoing inservices.
• Consult with department heads and physicians to improve care.
• Follow up on employee/resident exposures to communicable diseases.
