Blue River Nursing & Rehab in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse to join a team committed to safety and high-quality care. Under RN supervision, you will lead infection prevention initiatives across one or more centers, focusing on surveillance, outbreak management, and employee health.

The role emphasizes collaboration with facility leadership to ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations, OSHA and APIC guidelines, and to advance best practices in patient safety

Qualifications

• RN license preferred but not required.
• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management and prevention control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates hospital-wide Infection Prevention Control Program.
• Complies with Federal and state regulations. Adheres to OSHA and APIC guidelines.
• Prioritizes Infection Prevention goals.
• Collaborates with Department managers and medical directors in implementing aspects of the Infection Prevention Program.
